we remember: arnhem world war two cemetery

On May 5th the nation of the Netherlands celebrates Liberation Day - a time to remember WWII and the end of the occupation by Nazi Germany. There were many Veterans on our flight over, going back for a time to remember, pay tribute and their respects. We decided to visit the Arnhem War Cemetery where some Canadian soldiers, as well as others, were laid to rest. It was shocking to see how many young people lost their lives in this cruel battle. Visiting this place made me realize how brave those soldiers were - and it will make me remember always the wonderful men and women who fought to save many nations.
